A force of 96 P-47s is depatched from 4FG and 56FG to make a fighter sweep over the Gravelines/Baileul/Knokke area. The Germans are beginning to oppose these sweeps and send up fighters to engage. None of the American fighters are lost and the group claims 3-0-2 of the enemy fighters.
