Description

The mission is composed of two fighter elements. The first element is a force of 58 P-38s combined from 55FG and 20FG/79FS. These are despatched to provide escort to B-26 bombers of the 9th Air Force. There are no losses or claims.



The second element is a formation of 208 P-47s from 4FG, 78FG, 355FG and 356FG despatched to provide escort to B-26 bombers of the 9th Air Force. There are no losses or claims.
