On August 12, 1944, pilot 1st Lt Ronald Max Nichols and navigator Lt Elbert F Harris (pictured) were on a weather scout report to Russia and Italy in Mosquito bomber NS533. Fell to friendly P-51 fire over Toulouse, France Nichol was KIA.
