Ground crew of the 486th Fighter Squadron, 352nd Fighter Group, with P-47 Thunderbolt nose art "Happy". Winter 1943 - 1944. This was one of a series of nose art pieces that depicted characters from Disney's 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. Left to right they are: Philip Marchese, Sergeant Earl 'Rabbit' Martin, Technical Sergeant James Argiropulos and Sergeant Elvin Shipp. The pilot of this aircraft (PZ-H, serial number 42-5183) was Lieutenant Edwin L. Heller.
