Housman of Paducah, Kentucky, seated on the wing of the twin-engined Eighth Air Force Mosquito. The figures at which he's pointing signify that this aircraft, of which he is crew chief, has completed 50 missions over Germany on weather and photographic reconnaissance flights without once having to turn back because of mechanical failure. This is the first American Mosquito to have accomplished such a feat.'
