Paint scheme above was added after runway accident sheered off the vertical stabilizer Squadron ID: 418 LD R -and- 418 LD E (E after taxi accident April 18, 1945) --- Silver Dollar. This became Col Thomas Jeffrey's "hack" for trips to Continent .
