The crippled tail of the aircraft of First Lieutenant Roscoe Nemer, 19-year-old pilot of the 440th Bomb Squadron, 319th Bomb Group, from 637 Reis Avenue, Evansville, Indiana. He was forced to land his B-26 Marauder ('83', serial number 41-34892) nicknamed "Modern Design" on the 9th of February after a collision with another B-26 Marauder tore off half of his aircraft's tail. "Paul's Widow Maker" is inscribed on a damaged portion of the tail in the lower-right.
