The 319th Bomb Group used mass landing and take-off techniques to speed up the beginning and end of missions, particularly forming up after take-off, which could take valuable mission time needed to and from the target, not including time that could be spent bombing the target, and also would generally improve the Group's performance by performing more missions more quickly.
