Ground crew put protective tape on the ends of the barrel of one of a USAAF A-20 Havoc nicknamed "Eloise"'s cheek guns. This is to stop dust collecting in the barrels after they have been cleaned; the tape is only removed just before the aircraft takes off. Handwritten caption on reverse: 'Eloise. 68975.' Printed caption on reverse: '68975 AC - Armorers put tape on the end of the barrel of a .50 cal side gun on a Douglas A-20; this is done after the barrels have been cleaned in order to prevent dust from collecting in the barrels.
