AC # 42-97938, 'Twan-n-g-g-g' 612th BS, 401st BG. Crash-landed at base 28 October 1948. The aircraft skidded off to the right approximately 75 yards from the runway after the right landing gear collapsed on touch down. Aircraft was damaged beyond repair and scrapped.
