Lt. Quince L. Pictured in front of Lt Quince Brown's P-47 "Okie" are L-R - Quince Brown, 2nd Lt Ross Orr, 1st Lt Ernest E Russell, and 2nd Lt Martin H Smith. Photo dates to pre-April 1944, before the chequered noses appeared. Martin Smith will be killed on July 19th 1944 in a crash at Duxford 'buzzing' the field as a passenger in a B-17 piloted by a mutual friend. He only had eight hours left to complete his tour.
