Whenever there was a “mandatory” Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX holiday event, Dad detested dressing up and being all “social.” Mom, on the other hand, loved the excuse to get all “dolled up” and mingle. Afterward, Dad couldn’t WAIT to get out of his “monkey suit” and watch the Late Report in his big terrycloth robe with a big bowl of ice cream.
