P-51B 43-6865 J2-Q_ converted to a two seater. This a/c gave good value for the dollars spent on its purchase. It came to the 479th via the 20th FG where, as KI-Q it served as a war-weary hack and had previously seen operational service with the 352nd FG as PZ-X and PZ-M_ . Note the unusual presentation of the serial number on this one where the "4" of the "43" fiscal year denominator is shown.
