Lt. Robert K. Wiehe from Cinncinnatti, OH joined the 351st Fighter Squadron/353rd Fighter Group on October, 29, 1944 and served until war's end in August 1945. On November 27,1944, Wiehe was credited with an aerial victory over a ME109. On January 17, 1945 Wiehe survived a wheels up landing 2.5 miles SE of RAF Wattisham when he had engine/fire trouble in P-51D #44-14808 squadron code YJ-O. This plane was regularly flown by Lt. Billy J. Murray.
