Wreckage of the Consolidated B-24D-1-CO, Liberator, 41-23728, Hot Stuff, from the 330th BS, 93rd BG, 8th AF that was carrying Gen. Frank Andrews on an inspection tour of Iceland's bases. It crashed into a mountainside near Grindavik, Iceland after an aborted landing at an RAF base. This is the plane crash that 13 men died in, with only one man having survived, tail gunner S/Sgt.
