SSgt John C Kieffer (left) with his brother Sgt Henry Kieffer (right) at Thurleigh (December 1944?) John was a tail gunner in the 423rd Squadron of the 306th BG. Henry was a glider mechanic stationed in France. Henry was on leave and decided to surprise his brother - he traveled to John's airfield and crawled in his bunk. John found him when he returned from a mission.
