St. Malo Island, defended by the Nazis, is hidden under bomb bursts when attacked by Consolidated B-24 Liberators during August 1944. NARA Ref No 342-FH-3A19197-54049AC. Right Centre - B-24J 42-50625 from the 565th BS, 389th BG, 8th AF and coded EE-Z. Destroyed on August 14,1944 after crash-landing at Hethel due to battle damage. It caught fire and was completely burnt, crew OK.
