William “Bill” Slade (left) poses for a photo with Dougie, a current 336th FS pilot, during his 100th birthday celebration, Sept. 3, 2015, at Roswell Air Force Base, New Mexico. 2nd Lt Slade flew combat missions for the squadron during WWII, including prior service in 133 [Eagle] Sqn RAF in the Battle of Britain.
