B-17G-5-BO #4231163 "A Good and Happy Ship" Code: T 388th BG - 562nd BS 42-31132/31231 Boeing B-17G-5-BO Fortress MSN 6246/6345. 42-31163 (388th BG) damaged by fighter near Lingen 3/6/1944 and force landed at Rinkaby, Sweden. MACR 3083. Crew interned by Sweden but returned to England Nov 1944. Aircraft retained in Sweden and converted to airliner and registered Jan 5, 1945 as SE-BAM "Tom" and owned by Swedish Crown but operated by ABA. Crashed at Marietved Dec 4, 1945.
