Capt. Walter Travis Stewart attempting to rip off the B-24D Liberator, 41-23722, Bomerang's name, since he was assigned this airplane for the Ploesti mission and renamed the plane, "Utah Man" , which he had painted on the plane's RH nose section, just for the Ploesti mission. After Ploesti, the plane was returned to England with many of the 8th Air Force planes, where the original crews of this plane happily repainted, "Bomerang" and it's kangaroo nose art back onto the RH side of the plane. Bomerang, was flown back to the U.S by Capt. Stewart and his crew for a war bond tour in 1944. s
