B-24D Liberator (serial number 42-63758) nicknamed "Li'l Jughaid" of the 98th Bomb Group flown by Lyle Spencer, Harry J Baker, and Boyden Supiani flying in formation with B-24 Liberators "Daisy Mae" and "Black Magic" at 200 MPH at 50 feet altitude, while approaching White IV, the Astra Romano oil refinery at Ploesti, Romania, August 1, 1943.

This photograph was taken from the 98th Bomb Group's lead ship ( 41-11825 ), piloted by Col. John R. Kane and Lt. John S. Young.
