A B-24 Liberator (U8-M, serial number 44-50503) of the 466th Bomb Group. 466th BG Historian added notes: I don't believe this is 44-50503. The first number is obscured. 44-50503 would have been a B-24M-5-FO. While the 466th BG had several M models, none of them arrived when there was snow on the ground. None of them flew missions before late March 1945. In addition they navigator's window on M-5-FO models was a long rectangle shaped window. This is more likely B-24J-1-FO #42-50503.
