B-24 Liberators including (RR-F) of the 556th Bomb Squadron, 389th Bomb Group line up for take off. Passed for publication 31 May 1944. Handwritten caption on reverse: '389.' Printed caption on reverse: 'Liberators Will Free Europe. Liberator Group of the 8th Air Force, [illegible] now busy bombing enemy targets is set to continue and even increase their blows when the Second Front comes. This series of pictures was taken at their station somewhere in Britain. Keystone Photo Shows:- (U.S. Pool, Broderick) Libherators form on perimeter track waiting turn to hit runway. 43, 22.'
