Assigned to VIII Composite Command on 14 February 1944
Transferred to Cluntoe on 28 February 1944, without personnel and equipment, and absorbed personnel and equipment formerly of No 4 CCRC
Assigned to Air Disarmament Command 16 September 1944 and transferred with out men and aircraft to Boreham. There the unit undertook disarmament of captured enemy aircraft and disposal of captured equipment to gain intelligence on Luftwaffe and German aviation technology. Theatre indoctrination duties were transferred to combat units.
