Assigned to Air Disarmament Command 16 September 1944 and transferred with out men and aircraft to Chipping Ongar. There the unit undertook disarmament of captured enemy aircraft and disposal of captured equipment to gain intelligence on Luftwaffe and German aviation technology. Theatre indoctrination duties were transferred to combat units.
