media-7414.jpeg UPL 7414 de Havilland DH98 Mosquito TA614 of the 801st-492nd Bombardment Group "The Carpetbaggers". The 8th Air Force "controlled" the bomb group that "served" OSS to accomplish its missions. Probably taken at their base AAF-179 - Harrington, England. This is the only all-black Mosquito at Harrington and used for flying training purposes ONLY . OSS records indicate TA614 NEVER flew a single Joan-Eleanor Mission for wireless transmissions from OSS field agents in enemy territory. It may have had "Patty" on the Port nose fuselage, and late April 1945,had the tail section painted crimson red.
