Detailed History
Shipdham Flying Club is a group of flyers and friends who operate at Shipdham Airfield.
The club was formed in early 2000 to re-open Shipdham airfield.
The airfield was the wartime base of the 44th Bombardment Group, known as the Flying Eight Balls. It now hosts their museum. The airfield and museum receive visits from the families of wartime veterans and anyone else interested in the history of the airfield. Please call the Club Secretary for details.
