Tail gunner, Lishon crew. 381st BG, 534th BS, 8th AF. Shot down 8 October 1943 in B-17 #42-30772 'Bobby T'. Mission #36 to the shipyards at Bremen, Germany. MACR 1398. The crew were together in captivity on a train to Frankfurt and then they were separated. Prisoner of War at Stalag XVIIB.

S/Sgt Marques was credited with 2 German fighters destroyed on the 17 August 1943 Schweinfurt mission.
