W.H. Cocke, Jr. was shot down by the Russians over Grodzisk, Poland, March 18th, 1945.
He lost one crew member, Sgt. William Martsch. He and his crew were shuttled from camp to camp always under guard and finally to areas in Russia itself. It took my father 10 weeks to make it back to his group. Fielding L. Cocke
