Born in Spartanburg, SC. Married to sweetheart Maryjane for 60 + years. Deceased 2016 in hometown.

Volunteered 1944. Stationed Leiston, England. First P-51B Round Trip. Second P-51 Round Trip Jr. Discharged 1945. 4.5 kills. Personal friend for 20+ years. Great storyteller with necessary sense of humor. At an awards banquet in the 1990's Gen. Chuck Yeager once said that "blocks had to be added to the rudder pedals so Morris could reach them". Morris was friends and flew with Gen. Yeager, Col. Bud Anderson, Col. Pete Peterson and others in the legendary "Yoxford Boys" 357th Fighter Squadron
