Germany 24 May 1944 B-17 #42-102624 took off from Thorpe Abbotts Air Field, England on a bombing mission over Berlin, Germany. They were attacked and hit by German Aircraft and crashed near Fahrenkrug, two miles North of Rotenhaln, Holstein, Germany during the war.
