Revisions
I have a copy of a letter from the Adjunct General to his sister confirming his promotion effective October 14, 1943 about a month before he died in combat. Also, the cover of the book, "Britain's Homage to 28,000 American Dead", that his mother, my grandmother, received indicates a rank of First Lieutenant. I'd be happy to send you copies of each.
