Robert Neumer was killed when B-24 42-51116 crashed at Corner Farm, Rumburgh, on the morning of 7 June 1944. The mission to Alcenon, Northern France, had been scrubbed, and they were on their way home. 8 crew were killed. Robert is not named on the memorial in Rumburgh's St Felix & St Michael's church, but he was on of the casualties of this accident.
