Anderson, SC, USA | 25 July 2008 | Born in Akron, Ohio on April 8, 1924, Mr. Durst was a son of the late Rodney Durst and Beatrice Shrewsbery Durst. He was a graduate of the University of Akron, and attended Kent State University. He was a United States Air Force World War ll veteran and a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Durst retired from General Tire Company as a Research Scientist. He attended Central Presbyterian Church in Anderson and Foothills Missionary Alliance in Walhalla. Survivors include his wife, Betty Rice Durst of the home; sons, Paul Durst of Stow, Ohio, Mark Durst of Orlando, Fla. and Edward Durst of Brimfield, Ohio; brothers, Jack R. Durst of Minneapolis, Minn. and William R. Durst of Uniontown, Ohio; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Donna Knox Durst. |
