Approaching the rendezvous at Forges, France the squadron was pounced on by Fw190's from III Gruppe, JG.2. 2nd Lt Barron was one of four squadron mates to be shot down 26-Jun-43 in P-47 41-6376 Killed in Action (KIA). No MACR issued.
