Germany | 7 July 1944 | Aircraft hit by flak near Naumburg, Germany. Eyewitnesses told parents who had visited his grave in Blankenhaim Germany in 1949 that they say him leave his plane and as he descended he appeared to by trying to avoid a barn and his chute collapsed and he fell to his death. He was taken to the "dead house" and 3 days later was buried in the old cemetery in Blankenhaim. |
