Peterson's aircraft was hit by FLAK North-East of Bretteville-sur-Laize, France whilst returning from the target (Briouze Railroad Sidings, France). Four parachutes were seen to emerge from the stricken aircraft, however only the Bombardier and Tail Gunner (Ivory and Byng) survived. |
