Object Number - UPL 50323 - Jerome I Flohr later 1Lt, B-17 Navigator

Assigned to 562BS, 388BG, 8AF USAAF. Rodgers Crew. 27 x combat missions. According to J. Hallam, the radio operator, Flohr was killed just before a mission. The crew were waiting beside the aircraft in a tent. Flohr said that he was going off to get a parachute from supply. As he walked over to get his chute, he was struck by a truck. Because of blackout rules the truck's lights had only narrow slits that did not provide very much visibility. Flohr died later of his injury. Died non Battle (DNB)
