James W Hoy
Military"Iowans of the Mighty Eighth", Chapter 22 "Biographies", by Charles D Taylor.
He was called to active duty in February 1943 and trained in Radio and Photo Intelligence before joining the 325th Photo Recon Wing at High Wycombe. Also based there was Elliot Roosevelt, the President's son. In January 945 he was sent to Belgium to set up a photo laboratory to assist military units. Discharged in January 1946 he returned to college, took a Masters' and was Superintendent of the Eldora Iowa Training School for Boys until hie retirement in 1986.
