Flew 33 1/2 missions. Shot down on 34th, 7 July 1944. Flew deputy lead on D-Day in 1st group to bomb. I was lead Bombardier when our group was the only one out of five to hit the vital railroad bridge at Tours, France, 15 June 1944. Prisoner of War (POW) until end of war in Europe. On forced march through the blizzard of early 1945.
