Jack R Jones

He worked at Des Mines Ordnance Plant before being called up and was finally assigned to Radio School at Sioux Falls before being shipped over to the Group at Buckenham late 1943. He flew on 35 combat missions sitting behind the pilot with three transmitters and one receiver 'every time I picked up a German signal I would jam it and record the time'. In April '45 he was transferred to the 389thBG destined for the Pacific but while back in the States developed blood poisoning and was medically discharged. He returned to college, earning a Doctorate in education and having a career - including that of Principal -in the schools system.
