"Ike was dad's (Jesse C Bowling - Pilot) co-pilot. They flew 20+ bombing missions together. They were best friends until Ike died about 10 years ago. Ike was all we heard about as kids growing up, listening to all the stories about their times together."

Says it flew in North Africa with Benny and was eventually assigned to 389th as a hack and later as a form-up ship. He thinks it was originally with another group (possibly 376th or 98th).'
