MilitaryAssigned to 359FS, 356FG, 8AF USAAF. Flew P-47s in 54 missions for 184 combat hours. Evaded after crashing in Holland in P-47D OC-R 42-8549 'Elsie' 17-Sep-44 picked up by 82nd Airborne Div. and spent a week in aid station - the Battalion Commander appointed him an Asst. Battallion Surgeon.
Post War Remained in USAF, flew 101 combat missions in Korea. Retired as Lt. Colonel in Aug-66.
Awards: DFC, AM, PH, WWII Victory, EAME, UN and Korean medals.
