Herbert Harms had spent some years in Alaska mining for gold after college. Aged 25 he enlisted in the Air Force in April 1942 and shipped to England in April 1944 with a replacement crew. Shot down by flak and crashed near Zeitz in B-17 Dottie II #4229962 on his 28th mission. Killed in Action (KIA)
Herbert was finally laid to rest in November 2018
