Earlier 30 December 1943 on takeoff for mission to chemical works at Ludwigshaven when #3 engine caught fire 2/3 of the way down the runway then #1 engine caught fire. Pilot Ammann crash-landed at Steeple Morten a/f, 10 RTD.
