From Philadelphia. Eddie was credited with shooting down an ME-109 on 22 June 1943 over Huls. He flew his 25th mission on his first tour on 9/27/43. On 14 October 1943, 17 days after he left the crew, his plane "Trouble Shooter" was shot down and the entire crew was made POWs. He served a second tour training crews on the new B-24 ball turrets. His brother John also served in the US Army during World War 2 and earned a Bronze Star in Korea.
