My father, Edward H. Grossheim, Jr., served with the 95th BG, 334th BS, 8th AF during WW2, arriving in England at the end of March 1944, and completing his last (34th) combat mission in Nov 1944. He held the rank of 1LT at the end of his tour, and was promoted to Captain shortly after returning to the US. He retired in 1963 with the rank of Major, from the Air Force Reserves.
