Shot down 14 October 1943 in B-17 #4230175. Prisoner of War (POW). Earlier 28 July 1943 B-17 42-3076 suffered severe flak damage on Kassel mission. Lieutenant Thomas and crew crash landed at RAF Station Hawkings, Kent. A/C burnt. Crew safe.
