Douglas W Hooth
MilitaryShot down 14 June 1944 in B-24 #4440460. 9 September 1944. 2nd Lt. Hooth (Co-Pilot on mission to Laon, France) went down near Ath, Belgium. 3 days at the home of M. Boucher with Lt. Donahue, Lt. Wright, and Sergeant. Cupp of the same crew. -->>-- alone to the home of Emile Deltendre at Wannebecq near Lessines until the arrival of British forces. Helped by Abel Coton (28 Yrs. ) and Victoire Vifquin, the sister of Abel. AS TOLD BY CUPP: Hooth landed SE of Ogy and was led to the home of Lucien and Denise Guerlus on Rue Recq, Ogy. He was hidden until liberation at the Home of Emile and Marie-Louise Deltenre-Auverlaux, Wannebecq.
