Died

Peshtigo, WI 27 August 2011 David A. Hausfeld died at home on Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was born April 1, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wis. to Henry and Ellen (Peterson) Hausfeld. David served as a B-17 bombardier for the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and was a POW at Stalag Luft 1 in Stendal near the Baltic Sea in Germany. After the war he worked and retired from Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. He was a former Boy Scout leader and enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He married the former Alma Ries Correvau in Menominee, Michigan on February 4th. 1960. He is survived by wife of 51 years, nine children; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one daughter; two sisters and two son-in-laws. Cremation has been accorded.
